How many more days 余命
住職です。今年は71歳となりました。あと何年生きられるか考えるようになりました。今日とも知れず明日とも知れずという教えが心に響きます。一日一日が大事に感ぜられます。
I am the Chief Priest of Enkoji. This year I am 71 years old. Nowadays I think about how many more years I will be alive. The teaching "There is no knowing . . . whether death will occur today or tomorrow" ["White Ashes" from Letters of Rennyo] makes me aware of the importance of living every day. His words linger in my mind.
