ある高僧の言葉：病気になるのは罰が当たったのではなく、何かのたたりでもない。病気は災わせてもらっているのです。病気は心の恩師です。病気になったおかげで今まで見えなかったことが見え、娑婆がわかり、人間がわかり、自分の弱さもわかります。病気は自分の心を治す絶好の機会です。
Words of a high priest： Illness is not a punishment, nor a curse. Illness makes one suffer. Illness is a teacher of the spirit. Because of illness one becomes sensitive to one's surroundings and begins to see things never seen before. One becomes aware of his own weakness as a human being. Illness is the best chance to cure one's spirit.
